Revolutionary Road

Very good. Loved Kate Winslet and Kathy Bates. Leo di Caprio was good too - he's best when his character is angry or hurt! It's a very carefully directed film, but all actors still have space enough to let their characters breath.
Breakfast-scene at the end is awesome and scary at the same time! Di Caprio is so good when he let his mind crack or let slip out the broken soul, like his character in The Departed.
I wish, he would find a director who let him be like this for an entire film.

strong film, but in my opinion it's missing something, it's not complete. daniel day lewis's daniel plainview was the best acting performance in 2008! but that is one of reasons why i have problems with the film: it's a one-man show, an amazing one!!

the dark night, christopher nolan.
overall, a weak film, the story is a bit 'busy' with two bad characters. BUT: heath ledger was outstanding!! what a loss

things we lost in fire, susanne bier.
i expected much more of susanne bier, but to my disappointment the film was weak. benicio del toro's performance of a drug addict was pretty amazing, watching him caused almost physical pains in me!!

Good film, the sreenplay sticks close to the original.
Ralph Fiennes: good!
But: Kate Winslet was awesome for most of the time, last bits were a bit weak, but overall a very impressive performance.

Difficult to judge.
Brilliant cast: Leo di Caprio, Russel Crowe, Mark Strong.
The first 15-20 minutes were average action film, but then characters and story developed into some kind of claustrophobic nemesis.
After the bombings in Bombay, this film left me helpless.

meow, ok.
Mathieu Amalric as the bad guy was nice!

I think, the "story" is frayed out: got the idea, Forster didn't really knew where he wanted to go when he began shooting - or he somewhen lost his storyboard...
Forster in interviews said he wanted a realistic Bond, who fit's in the 21st century. But what's the point in having, as Forster aimed to, a "realistic" James-Bond-character anyway? Every James-Bond-film follows a pattern, and the director's task is, to modiefy it's elements within it.
Forster wanted a "realistic" Bond: but there's no need for! Above, continuing so, Bond will become just any random hero of any random action film. In my opinion, there're plenty of those already existing, there's no need for more!
Overall, it was somehow entertaining, somehow boaring.

I absolutely disagree with dubbing films. But there's no chance to see this film in Danish soon so I had no choice.

The film is ok. Directing is a bit bulky, sometimes it reminded me on a history book turned into a film.
Editing sometimes is fantastic.

Mads Mikkelsen: excellent.
Thure Lindhardt: new to me, superb!
Stine Stengade: very good.

Well well. Difficult to judge. Very entertaining, nice to see old-school stunts again on the screen. Maybe 15 or 20 minutes les would have been helpful. It's a good film, but I'm not overwhelmed. The story is a bit lame.

Heath Legder is fantastic, what an amazing performance, made me speechless. And he's very disturbing too. Was very glad he had all that make-up in his face - made it easier to say good-bye.

Besides HL the other (awesome cast) was a bit bland:
Gary Oldman: first time I saw him on screen not beeing the weirdo: a rather disturbing experience. With his beard he looked like a seal.
Christian Bale (Batman voice sounds stupid): ok
Morgan Freeman: ok
Michael Caine: ok
Maggie Gyllenhaal: mew.

Lars von Trier is going to shoot his new film Antichrist in Germany, shooting begins on Wednesday.
Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe playing the main characters. Story sounds, as always, disturbing and claustrophobic!
Great, a new LvT-film next year!

Heaven or hell - who can tell?
We discussed the likeliness of beeing presented with the Dark Knight for some time, but we realised it would be better to expect nothing. We'll see.

Was Filme anbelangt, ist das diesjährige Sommerloch unendlich tief.
Dazu fällt das Mannheimer Filmfest aus, und nur wenn ich großes Glück schaff ich es zu den Nordischen Filmtagen nach Lübeck.
Autsch.

Speaking of films, summer sucks.

Had to cancel Mannheimer Filmfest accreditation.
Still hope to attend the Nordic filmfest in Lübeck though.
To satisfy my eyes, i've seen loads of dvds, crap mostly. worst was 'Derailed'. Dearest Clive Owen, please!!!, never ever again waste your talent on crap like this. Nice haircut - but that's it already what, in my opinion, is positive about this rubbish. JennifermostboringactressoftheworldAnniston, please get married, have kids and stay away from the screen.
Administered myself a diet till the 'Dark Knight'. Couldn't make it to the press screening - therefore 16 more days to wait. *sigh*
